The department of Zoology was established in the year 1999-2000. The subject has been introduced in under graduate classes for science faculty. A good number of strength is found every year. At present
there
are 460 students studying Zoology in under graduate classes. The department of Zoology is rich in its infrastructure. It has well-furnished and equipped laboratory within an area of 52x31 feet. As per the timetable the classes are held.
Facilities:
The laboratory has good numbers of equipments slides and specimen as per the prescribed syllabus. The department conducts fieldwork to collect different specimen and practical material for study. Apart from this, every year the
students
of the department are taken for educational tour as well as field study. Major equipments available in the department:
Time to time the department arranges internal seminar, group discussion and quiz programs for the overall development of the students. Every year guest lecturer are delivered through renowned professor of
nearby colleges. The students are motivated to participate in every activity of the department.
